We are independent people earning independently. Money issues can bring in lot of suspicion, confusion and interfere in one’s independence. To avoid all this, we maintain our own salary accounts and one joint account too. We pool in equal sum in this joint account for the “must do” expenses like groceries, bills, insurance premiums etc. So once we have done this, its upto us how we spend the rest of our salary. At the end of year, we take stock of how much we have saved in our accounts and that’s a great feeling of jointly accomplishing a savings goal.
